Mr Douglas Selected to Run for England

Queen Elizabeth Grammar School teacher James Douglas has been selected to run for England at the World Half Marathon Championships in Cardiff later this month.
Mr Douglas finished the Trafford 10K race in a personal best time of 29 minutes and 57 seconds last weekend, a performance which has now led to his selection for the England team.
Mr Douglas, who teaches geography, and is Head of Earth Sciences at QEGS, is also an old boy of the school. He competes at club level for the Border Harriers. Mr Douglas has also been pivotal in the development of distance running at QEGS, who enjoy a national reputation for cross-country, fell running and road running.
