Student Council

QEGS school council meets every two
weeks throughout the year and discuss
wide-ranging issues that concern all
aspects of school life.

Each form is represented by two people, and a member of the student leadership team is responsible for chairing each meeting. Both staff and students have the chance to bring items to the council for discussion or debate. Members of the council are also involved in staff appointments, special occasions and school events.
During the weeks when the council does not meet, each year group hold their own ‘year council’ meeting which is chaired by a member of the student leadership team. These meetings are only attended by students and each year group decide what issues or discussion points they wish to bring before the whole school council the following week.
